Wood

Care & cleaning of natural oiled-finished wood:

Natural oil-finished wood is all about warmth, character and authenticity. Unlike synthetic finishes, natural oils penetrate the wood, enhancing its texture and allowing it to breathe. The result? A beautifully matte finish that ages gracefully and develops a rich, lived-in charm over time.

For daily care: Wipe with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid using too much water – less is more. Clean up spills immediately to prevent staining. Use a mild natural soap if necessary, then dry with a soft cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners – they can damage the finish. For regular maintenance: Apply natural oil regularly (every 6-12 months) to nourish the wood and maintain its protective layer.

Over time, oil-finished wood naturally deepens in tone and develops a unique patina that tells the story of your interiors. Small stains, colour variations and softening edges are not flaws – they’re part of its evolving beauty. With gentle care, your piece will only become more beautiful with age.

Care & cleaning of  natural varnished wood:

Maintain the beauty of your natural varnished wood with gentle, regular care: For daily maintenance, dust with a soft, dry or slightly damp microfibre cloth. Wipe in the direction of the grain for best results. For deeper cleaning, use a mild, wood-friendly cleaner or a mixture of water and mild soap. Dampen a cloth lightly – avoid soaking the surface – and dry immediately after cleaning. Avoid using harsh chemicals, alcohol-based cleaners or abrasives, excessive moisture, standing water or prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, or placing hot or wet objects directly on the surface.
